Meet Our Pastors

“Shepherd the flock of God that is among you...” (1 Peter 5:2a)

The Reverend Robert Lehman

The Reverend Robert ‘Bob’ Lehman was born and raised in Southcentral Kansas until graduating from college. He grew up with a strong sense of community and a calling to help those in need. After graduating from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry in 1984, Pastor Lehman's path took him to the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. It was there that he completed his Master of Divinity degree and was called and ordained to the ministry of Word and Sacrament in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

Since then, Pastor Lehman has served various congregations and communities throughout the United States, including Frederick, Washington, and Calvert Counties. But his passion for education and the environment led him to also pursue a career in teaching. For many years, he has been known as Mr. Lehman to his students at Bowie High School in Maryland, where he teaches Environmental Science and Advanced Placement Environmental Science. In 2016, Pastor Lehman completed his Master's degree in Education from Concordia University in Portland, Oregon. He has begun a certificate program in Climate Change Education at Goucher College in Baltimore. In addition to his roles as a pastor and teacher, Pastor Lehman has also served as an interim pastor at various churches, including Church of the Redemption (Episcopal) in Locust Point and St. Philip's Lutheran Church in Baltimore City.

Pastor Lehman is a spiritual and pastoral leader who is enthusiastic about serving God and God’s people. He is an excellent pastor who will lead Holy Trinity Lutheran Church to where God is calling us to. Join us in giving thanks and praying that Pastor Lehman’s leadership and the many gifts of this congregation will help imagine God’s work in our community as we move forward for the glory of God.
